New to the Melbourne International
Animation Festival program the Animation Careers
Forum will bring together a panel of experienced
animation industry and education representatives. The Forum
will provide an overview of what the animation industry
is looking for in graduates and the courses available with
the key education providers in this field, to get you started
in this dynamic industry.
The Animation Careers
Forum will be a general discussion amongst panellists
and the audience about the animation industry including
job opportunities, realistic salary expectations and how
to get your foot in the door. Plus, the panel will address
the diversity of the industry including the opportunities
to specialise in different fields and work overseas. All
aspects relevant to a career in animation will be covered
with the aim to assist you to decide if this is the career
for you and the skills you need to enter this industry.
The panel will include Jim Kalogiratos,
Animation Director at Act3 Animation and representatives
from Holmesglen Institute of TAFE, Victorian College of
the Arts and RMIT University plus more.
There will be opportunity
for you to ask questions and gain an insight into the exciting
career opportunities in this fast-growing industry.
