A program of MIAF films especially selected
by a panel of 3 Deaf persons who believe the selected clips
are best suited for Deaf viewers.
'Nexus’ - a means of connection from
the screen to viewers - is a specially selected series of
short animated movies from hundreds of animation submitted
from all over the world.
Animation is a visually expressive medium.
Much of its power to communicate resides within the DNA
of the thousands of images that make up each film. The Deaf
community are more acutely aware of this than anybody and
MIAF leapt at the chance to invite a special jury from this
community to run their very special, critical eye over the
MIAF program and come up with their own selection of highlights.
”There are various clips, ranging
from grievous to powerful, from the dramatic to the humorous!
It is easy to see the point the animators are trying to
bring across”.
James Blyth, Co-ordinator – Deaf Jury.
Selection
jury: James Blyth, Irene Holub & Luke King
Coordinated by Lynn Gordon
