Siggraph is one of the largest and most important
gatherings for the digerati. Convened annually in giant conferences
centres in US cities, it is addresses every aspect of the creative
digital space. Siggraph saw the wave of CG animation coming long
before most of us even saw the ripple. Running for 30 years, Siggraph
has grown to the enourmous event that it is today.
Special Guest, John Finnegan the Siggraph Chair
in 2006 will introduce two programs that will drive home the scope
of digital animation that Siggraph has come to cover.
Siggraph 2006 Highlights
Outstanding short films, creative and abstract animated digital
artwork, ground breaking ads and cutting edge showreels are all
part of the Siggraph stock in trade. This collection of the highlights
of the last Siggraph animation program will be introduced will an
overview by John Finnegan, the Chair who oversaw the festival they
originally screened in.
