This year for the first time, MIAF launches a program of films drawn from the main competition to show specially to a High School age audience. It’s a pretty serious bummer that you guys can’t get into most of the festival (coz of weird laws) but we’ve bent the rules a bit this time and here’s a few highlights we hope you’ll enjoy.

Willowbank High School Highlights
USA, 5'00
A sampling of films all made by High School students.
“Petey The Pyro Pirate” – Liz Fedak
“Luigi And The Pesticide” – Michael Halpin
“Randomotion” – Allison Kavel
Ten Thousand Pictures Of You
Robin King
UK, 3'00

An exhilarating rollercoaster ride through the animated pictures of Sarah's world, as she seeks revenge upon the movie star who broke her heart!
Burning Safari
V. Aupetit, M. Maleo, J. Irzenski, F de la Taille, A. Presal, CW Trebutien
France, 1'45
HEY LOOK – MONKEYS! And they’re not real happy bout the weird little aliens with the power zappers. Chaos.
The Crown
Tatyana Trifonova
Bulgaria, 2'15

Pretty hilarious. Too many kings and too many people who wanta be king.
Without An Of
Brian Bloss
USA, 3'00

Comic art style. An intense running shot of a desparate rush down a street.
Songs From The Haven Of Despair
Jazzmen Lee-Johnson
USA, 6'30

Funky little music video that taps into stencil and street art for its look.
Tough Guy! 2005 Special Edit Version
Kishimoto Shintaro
Japan, 7'00

Bugs outta control. Revenge of the green things!
X.Pression
Laurie Thinot
France, 3'15

x.treme, x.citing visual images – straight from the wall socket to your eyes.
La Marche Des Sans Nom
L. Vigroux, N. Laverdure, J Constantial
France, 5'45

Pretty out there – a weird kind of war film.
Once Upon A Time
J. Dernoncourt, S. Deroubaix, C. Laplatte
France, 5'30

Crazy stuff. Lots of clips from old movies mixed with a guy in a crazy car.
Sigg Jones
D. Lassance, M. Bessudo, J. Vuillemin
France, 7'00

Moves like The Matrix, sounds like a rock video – funnier than both.

Super K-Net
Ali Rahmoun
Belgium, 6'30

Tin cans, electrical appliances and a fish out of water. A viscous fight for domination.
doll face
Andy Huang
USA, 4'15

The haunting deconstruction of a digital/human/robotic face. A truly fascinating film which blurring every technical and creative line.

Suitable for audiences under the age of 18.
