MEET THE FILMMAKERS and Q&A

It has been a very rich year for Australian animation.

The Australian Panorama that has just finished screening upstairs is ample demonstration of the creative strength and hands-on craft skills of Australian animators. It was one of the most difficult Australian Panorama’s we have had to pull together with a lot of very good work having to be left on the jury room floor.

Many of the filmmakers who created the works in the Australian Panorama will join us in a panel to talk about their individual films, animating in Australia and take questions from the audience.

The aim is to get as many perspectives as possible on the local animation scene as it stands now as well as to discuss the challenges and opportunities for the future.

The atmosphere is informal and relaxed. And audience participation is definitely encouraged!
