Building on last festival’s sold-out ‘Best
Of The Next’, this one-night festival of four distinct programs
of animation from more than 60 schools provides a special platform
for young and emerging animators from Australia and around the world.
ACMI's brand spanking new Studio 1 space on level
1 has opened, replacing the old Screen Pit downstairs. The set up
is similar - relaxed and informal - but you won't be watching the
whole program on an angle! Yay! The screen is positioned in front
of the seating, making your marathon night of student and graduate
film watching even sweeter!
The first screening starts at 5pm and there is a
new screening each hour on the hour until all four programs have
been shown and the Music Video Competition runs in the MIAF Club
the same night.
You will need to purchase a ticket for each session
you want to see, so if you decide to miss a session (eg, check out
the Music Video screening or any of the awesome programs in the
main cinemas), space can be opened up for new folk to come on in. |
