Learn how to make your own ‘cameraless’ animation from one of the masters of the technique, MIAF’s special guest, Canadian - Steven Woloshen.

This is filmmaking at its most elemental. Scratching, painting or applying materials directly to 35mm film-stock was first pioneered by such greats as Len Lye and Norman McLaren. Today, the vital skills of timing, composure and the ability to imagine pure movement are as vital and as relevant as ever to filmmakers working in any genre and technique.

Steven will demonstrate the skills required to make your own animation, help you plan your workshop piece and assist you every step of the way as you create your own short film.
