'Trams - A Documentary': Shawn Miller 5.30pm
Panorama #4: Australian
  15+
A wonderfully diverse collection of new Australian films not featuring in competition. Perhaps they arrived too late for competition selection, perhaps they had the jury battling it out on the floor(!), but these films in all their eclectic glory are just too good not to be screened in a festival that celebrates animation in all its myriad forms.

International Program #7: Abstract Showcase  15+
Animation in its purest form. Our annual collection of the most impressive and expressive abstract and experimental animated films from all over the world. The program includes Steven Woloshen’s (MIAF10's special guest) fantastic new cameraless masterpiece 1000 PLATEAUS (2004-2014) made entirely by hand and by scratching and painting images directly on to film stock. MIAF’s international competition sessions are the backbone of the festival and screen almost daily throughout the festival, providing a comprehensive overview of the international indie animation scene chosen from 2,900 entries!
