Some animation just isn’t made to be shown on a screen in a closed dark room to an audience sitting quietly in nice, straight rows. We have discovered the perfect place for this form of highly imaginative, free form animation to take flight.

Misty Bar – Hosier Lane. Just exit ACMI through the Flinders St doors and Hosier Lane is directly opposite. Venture down the lane for one of Melbourne’s funkiest bars and some of the world’s coolest animation.

Every night of the festival, Misty Bar will host a different program of installation and experimental animation from all over the world.
